Cursing
childbirth and growing food
What the Lone Male god curses is
what He wants to prevent Adam and Eve from experiencing.
He curses childbirth and growing
food. Why?
It is not clearly
stated why in Genesis. Why are these two cursed
and not other
aspects of human life? Does the Lone Male god fear the
human experience of childbirth and growing food? Is that
why they are cursed experiences?
Is it that each is a birthing experience,
one
of female flesh,
the other of the
fields of Mother Earth?
Of note is that Eve is
alive and the source of human life, as is Mother Earth alive
and the source of all natural life.
The Tree of Life held this
insight into what it
means
to
be
fully human—namely, to be born from
a mother.
It endowed Adam and Eve with the vision of family—that
human and natural life arises from within the embrace of parents:
mother and
father, Earth and Sky, Goddess and God, male and female. The Tree
of Life's promise is that—through childbirth and tending the
Earth—humans can realize immortality.
This
realization opened for us Earthfolk the vision of the Forever
Family.
