More, in a truly prophetic instance, Ike articulated
the deeply embedded emotion that would come to
undergrid America if it did not heed his warnings
and act.
"May we be ever unswerving
in devotion to
principle, confident but
humble with power,
diligent in pursuit of the Nation's great goals."
So that,
"Down the long lane of the history
yet to be written America knows that this
world of ours, ever growing smaller,
must avoid
becoming a
community of dreadful fear and hate,
and be instead, a
proud confederation of mutual trust and
respect."
What Ike prophetically intuited
was the emergence of the Warrior's Quest Big Story.
He appeared to sense the then nascent
dynamic of "globalization"—"this world of
ours, ever growing smaller." However,
his was not a predatory vision—ironically,
Ike, the Great Warrior did not want to conquer the
world, rather, he wanted to build "a proud confederation of
mutual trust and respect."
Curiously, Ike is somewhat of an Earthfolk prophet.
His predictions and warnings are evident today.
