We Earthfolk see the notion of "Civil Religion" as describing how Americans proceeded to express their newly acquired "democratic faith" and their faith in democracy through their governing institutions, cultural observances and quite self-consciously Christian political and social rhetoric. Few doubt that Americans have always seen and continue to see themselves as a messianic people and culture.

"America" is a tightly integrated political and belief system—a civil religion.

For Earthfolk, the only way to

properly and accurately grasp the horrifically profound and
transformative
events of
August 6, 1945
is to understand and accept
"America"
as a
sect

of the Protestant Reformation.

"America" is not simply a nation influenced by Christian values. No, quite more. "America" describes how a people believes and acts. To say "I am an America" is equal to saying "I am a Baptist" or Roman Catholic, Jew, Buddhist, Mormon, etc. "America" is an act of faith.

"America" as a sect is Secular Christianity or Christian Secularism.

Civil Religion shares and rejects aspects of traditional Christianity.

Once this is accepted, understanding how

"America" ceased to exist on August 6, 1945

as it assisted in the birth of the Warrior's Quest vision and imagination becomes clearer.
