Rather, coupling in communing and delighting in
the preciousness of your lover as you both are made present as
beloveds is like watching the sun rise at ocean’s
edge. There is a sense of being full, something a bit
on the cosmic scale—slipping into the
sunrise moment as you become part of that sunrise! Such is an
inexplicable
moment, basically ecstatic and incommunicable
in words, when you just are—there
is no sense of separation at any level: mental,
physical or in spirit, just the sun communing with the ocean communing
with you.
You are present to
yourself as ocean breeze, as the waves slowly lapping your ankles,
as the sea gull swooping, your eyes pleasuring with dawn’s
brightness…the energy, thrill, thump, flow, streaming of
the Living Earth’s preciousness is you and you are the Living
Earth’s preciousness.
Consider: What is it that urges people
to have kids and commit to developing a family? What is it that
flows among a group so that they all feel committed to
the same heartfelt acts? What is it which is evoked,
empathetically and sympathetically, when you see pictures of people
in other nations, half-way round the world, who are in the clutches
of pain or joy?
It is this allure of
Belovedness—to be beloved, to behold the Other as beloved.
It is the
primal dynamism of the Living Earth—that seeks to be made
present through your
parenting of all the Living Earth’s children.
