The woman, the female,
the feminine is found from within a deep sleep. Adam does not know
how to enter this deep sleep on his own power, rather it is an action
of the Lone Male God upon him. His maleness then does not say, “He
laid me down and took a woman from inside of me!” In fact, when
she is “created,” it is as if Adam is surprised.
The biblical tradition unintentionally
exposes and reveals the cold, hard
fact that the feminine, the Mother, the Goddess who was
obliterated in Genesis,
Her presence can
only be reached and communicated with—
as long as the Warrior's Quest dominates human consciousness
and spirituality—
through deep sleeping. That is, through
collective and communal imagining.
This is how Earthfolk define deep sleeping—as collective and communal
imagining.
It is into such
a deep sleep that the Warrior’s Quest placed
the Great Mother.
It was his triumphant act of dominion, namely,
Obliterating Her from consciousness and from memory.
It is from this deep sleep dreaming of the Obliteration
of Her that Earthfolk are awakening.
