To sojourning aliens the eyes the vaporized human "shadows" on
the wall (which were the atom bomb's victims) revealed a core
belief about the value of human life in
the spiritual vision that enabled the bomb-makers to not-see or
accept responsibility for what they had actually done.
Where the bomb-makers asserted that, "The bomb brought peace!," Earthfolk
saw a world acting out a global ritual of Endless
Warring. One that culminated in the strangest of actions—the
creation of a weapon of global destruction that no
one could control, that effectively turned
all humans into victims, and that transformed every
human being into an "Intimate Enemy."
It is a necessary task of Earthfolk
imagining, to be, for a time, an alien sojourner from the outer space
of imagining. To look at what is and imagine what it would be like
if you were seeing it for the first time as an explorer from outside
the world. If you take this stance, then
how deeply embedded all
people—you—are
in the Warrior's Quest vision and practices will soon
become evident and clear.
We felt the
atomic bomb blast!
Earthfolk feeling. More astounding
that what we saw when we looked at the events surrounding the Atomic
Bomb with sojourning alien eyes was how profoundly emotionally moved
we were by its dread, awe, wonder—we trembled,
terrified.
