The Warrior's Quest is a
vision that has come to be the way through which almost
every religious, theological or spiritual tradition (East and West)
has interpreted and molded itself.
While in these traditions there are stories, practices,
rituals and values expressed that mirror aspects of
the Earthfolk vision, practices and values, these are
but minor, subordinated or tolerated stories, practices,
etc., within the dominant Warrior's Quest tradition. For example, despite
Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, nonviolence is not the dominant Christian
practice. Likewise, despite the Buddhist concept of karma and the call
to do the least harm, it is not a predominantly ecological or green
movement. Hinduism's pantheon is replete with goddesses but it is as
mired in and expressed through patriarchal imaginings as other major
religions.
Hopefully, the key and profound differences
between the Earthfolk vision of living peacefully at-home on earth and
as sensually precious and the Warrior's Quest will become clearer
as you proceed to explore this site.
The Warrior's Quest vision:
-
honors the male
deity(ies) over the female(s)
-
presents male energy as the creating
life force or the superior force
-
that uses subordinated
and submissive feminine energy to achieve its objectives
The Warrior Quester:
- seeks to achieve dominion and dominance over
the Earth and all natural forces
- sees himself and his people as chosen
and
- other people as an Intimate Enemy to be feared and
conquered
- lives in dread-filled fear of
his god, other people, or the meaninglessness of life itself
- strives to escape his wretched
earthly existence often
- seeking to obtain fulfillment with his deity in
an afterlife paradise
- through being saved or achieving
enlightenment or evolving into
a higher state of ultra-human supra-being or super-being
