At present, three Big Stories
of the culture of the West are dominant. These are the:
1) Biblical Abrahamic,
2) Scientism, and
3) Secularism.
These three Big Stories are intricately
interconnected—historically and imaginatively.
Collectively, they dominate the human imagination,
and culturally and spiritually drive the current globalization movement.
These Big Stories vary in their narratives
but each evokes the same basic heartfelt emotion, namely,
of being uncomfortable with and discomforted by living on Earth.
