If he is that, so is
she.
A Dark Mother—another shadow presence.
Off to the side, present but hiding in
what we have discerned the
watery imagery to mean: Genesis’ “dark
vapors.”
(A scholarly exposition
of these themes are presented in,
"A sad story and Genesis 1-3: discerning the presence of the Mother
goddess.")
How did we sense the Dark
Parents? Here is where personal experience comes
in. Those who have peered and sat in silence with Genesis and
come to this insight have suffered the horrors
of having abusive parents. To them, this Earthfolk reading of Genesis is
quite simply “obvious.”
Not so for most others. Why? Because
one deeply embedded emotion experienced by Abrahamic people who do not have
abusive parents is that accepting that they have a Dark Mother compels
them to admit, submit and allow the emotions of being
abused to overtake, saturated, drown them.
They have to consciously and with open mind and
heart invite this abusive parenting to have its
ways with their body, mind and soul. Terribly hard.
Horrid experience.
What child wants to invite
abuse?
On Pathway C—Belover,
we talk about how to create a safe and secure place
when performing an Earthfolk ritual or practicing sensual immersion.
When confronting the shadowy Dark, it is absolutely necessary to
be properly prepared. As on that pathway, please read—"Attention!"
All we can say—if you
are ready to seek it—is that we believe that
the transformation effected is worth the risk. Once you
acknowledge, respect, and embody the heartfelt dark abusiveness of
the Abrahamic Big Story’s story of origin, then you
can then move beyond it, creatively
imagine with it, and begin to make present
yourself as a Beloved child of the Living Earth’s Mother and Father.
