emerged as it shed, rearranged and reinterpreted key
aspects of the Abrahamic tradition.
It is a secularizing
movement in it's rejection of Revelation and the
Supernatural.
In this tradition, war is waged
against dark forces such as ignorance, the unknown,
and the supernatural.
Victory is claimed in terms of truths,
facts, and reality being discovered "as it really
is.
What "really is" is found
primarily through testable and measurable experimentation that
grounds its interpretation in reductionistic
analysis.
Reliance on mathematical and/or
machine-based modeling using technological instrumentation forms,
as Earthfolk see it, a highly imaginative new mode of non-human sensing
and awareness that is considered superior to
human based sensing and awareness.
Bloodshed in
search of truths, facts and reality is acceptable
(experimentation on and the subordination of all other life forms)
as is bloodshed in the pursuit
of the proof of Scientism's truths, facts and
reality,
such as the dropping of the Atomic Bomb that validated
all the empirical observations, reasoned conclusions, and hypothetical
rational expectations of the underlying "bloodless" methods:
mathematical, physical, and experimental.
